That is what happened to Ryan the owner of North-East-Auction. While searching rolls obtained from the local banks his interest grew while filling holes in his coin albums and so did the hopes of finding that rare coin to complete the series!

While that million-dollar coin never was found. His fascination with history and the business side of the industry grew. He started selling some of the duplicate coins in his personal collection at local coin shops, swap meets, flea markets and online. 

One thing led to another, and his childhood hobby turned into a full-time business that now employs several employees and has been working with other top tier dealers within the industry for well over a decade.
